UNRECORDS is a queer-feminist record label I founded 2012 together with Johanna Forster, Birgit Michlmayr and Petra Schrenzer. Our aim is to support FLINTA-Bands and queer-feminist artists and create a counterweight to the cismale-dominated label rosters of the rock/punk/experimental scene. In the last decade we released 18 albums of great international – mainly European – artists like Les Reines Prochaines and Žen, and built a network which includes our own bands and projects. In 2018 UNRECORDS was awarded with the Prize of the Independent Scene Vienna.
